This photo taken by Laurie Cobb, corresponds to our Prayer-Action at the Wyatt Detention Center in Central Falls, Rhode Island, on August 31st, 2008. There, a group of fifty people from the Open Table of Christ, along with Jim Harney, a former Catholic Priest who gave up his credentials for the sake of Radical Love, gave a powerful expose of the empire-quest for greed, and the lives of the undocumented. In powerful witness against a system of injustice, and in solidarity with the memory of Chinese immigrant Mr. Ng, who died in horrible suffering at the hands of Homeland Security with an undiagnosed cancer that was weakening his body while in prison for over a year.
