Gender and Gender Equality
Philosophy
On the Ground is a series of interviews with people at the center
of some of the most compelling and difficult issues of the day.
In this episode, the interviewer examine how our philosophical
beliefs influence our lives, how our thoughts and values drive
our actions, and what happens when, philosophically speaking,
the rubber meets the road. This is the second episode where
Pastor Duane Clinker of the Open Table of Christ Church discusses
in a very open and frank way why he supports same-sex marriage,
citing specific Biblical passages do do so. Pastor Clinker is
a man moved to action by his convictions, and the interviewer
has decided to spend time examining those.

Reverend Duane Clinker tesitifes
in support of Marriage Equality as a part of the 8+ hours of
testimony in the House Judiciary Committee hearings held on
February 9, 2011 at the Rhode Island State House.
Pastor Clinker spoke on a panel
of numerous faith leaders as a part of the Rhode Island Religious
Coalition for Marriage Equality. He and others at the OTC stands
up for ALL Rhode Island families. Here he takes a stand against
religious groups that use the bible as a source of hate instead
of love.
